LTG (R) Deedrick retired from the Unites States Army in 2023 after 35 years of distinguished military service as an Infantry and Special Forces Officer. John commanded units at nearly every level and commanded Army and Joint Forces during multiple combat tours in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. LTG Deedrick’s last three assignments were: US Military Representative to the NATO Military Committee, Commander, Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan, and Commander, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne).
